Installation of the Board
The Installation of the Board takes place every year in the month of February during a formal ceremony. The Honorable E.J.Salcines, past Hispanic Man of the Year, has been in charge of installing the executive board and the member’s board during the past few years.
Annual Hispanic Leadership Class
Each year the Board of Directors of Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. recognizes t Hispanic Leaders in the community. Leaders are recognized in the areas of business, the arts, education, public service, media and civic involvement. The new “Orgullo” award will be awarded to an individual or organization that has excelled in support of the Hispanic community.
Annual Kick-Off – Election of THHI Cultural Ambassador
Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc’s official kick-off celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Season takes place in September together with CENTRO’s Festival del SABOR in a day-long celebration of Tampa Bay’s Hispanic culture through food, music, and art.Throughout the day cultural ambassadors from different Hispanic countries share their cultural pride and talents through dancing and other individual expressions. One of them will proudly represent our Hispanic community as THHI’s Cultural Ambassador until the following year.
